Mr. Gifford’s role as Blow-Fill-Seal Operations (BFS) and Training Manager requires his highly technical knowledge of BFS equipment and supporting utilities. At our state-of-the-art Technology Development Center, he operates, maintains, and repairs BFS machinery for designing, prototyping, and fabrication of components and prototype molds. In addition to the operation of BFS equipment, Mr. Gifford provides internal and external training, on the BFS process, including mold making.
Previously, Mr. Gifford led a team of 15 responsible for the maintenance and validation of Blow-Fill-Seal and other production equipment for Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. He also provided onsite training for BFS operators and mechanics. At Rommelag Engineering/Kocher Plaastiks Maschinenbau GmbH, he was Service Technician, (installation, maintenance, repair) for BFS machines as well as for additional machinery used in the production and packaging of pharmaceutical products. Mr. Gifford was with Nephron Pharmaceuticals in multiple positions with increasing managerial and technical leadership responsibilities for current production and new product development. He led a team in the installation, validation, maintenance, and production of seven BFS machines onsite. Mr. Gifford designed and implemented the “Gifford Flipper” turning unit within production lines, effectively saving the corporation $198k for a specific sterile pharmaceutical product. A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Gifford graduated from ITT Tech with a focus on Electronic Engineering.
