There’s so much to learn from co-workers customers patients and experts both within and outside of this industry
Lessons in Leadership
one of my favorite lessons of leadership is the importance of coaching it’s easy to jump straight into solving a solution in a leadership position and there are times that is okay but to create a space where you can Empower those around you through coaching. that is something that I’ve found that is really effective at creating a better working environment and coming up with fantastic Solutions. this is also a great way for leaders to continue to learn from those around them.
Why did you choose the biopharmaceutical industry?
I chose it because it is an industry that is pushing to innovate and find new solutions to improve people’s lives it’s inspiring to know that the work that I do and the work that my company does is pushing the dial on improving People’s Health on a global scale.
Why device design?
I love to create I love to problem solve and I love to innovate I really love that I have the opportunity to listen to the voice of our customers and address their unmet needs. it brings me closer to our patients and it motivates me every day. the ability to problem solve to work well in a team setting and to approach problems in a logical manner. it’s also important to continually learn, continuing to develop skills and knowledge really fosters Innovation and progress.
What are you reading?
right now I’m reading the radium girls a dark story of America’s shining women. it’s the true story of the women who worked in the radium dial factories in the early 20th century what starts as a desirable Factory job where the women are literally glowing from the radium product is quickly turning into a tale of these women getting mysterious ailments and illnesses and their voices are being ignored. that’s as far as I’ve gotten but I’m looking forward to learning more about how these women band together to affect change
Favorite Vacation Spot?
my favorite vacation spot is a new city, state, country, or continent I haven’t explored yet. my most recent vacation was to New Zealand. one fun fact there are no native snakes and no deadly spiders so you can focus on getting your Thrills from jumping out of an airplane instead of running into one of those Critters on your hike.
