what is the point of all this knowledge that i have that people have helped me to acquire if i’m not sharing it my overriding career goal was always to be in a position to help other people
that to learn how to be a mentor because if you’re not a mentor you’re not a leader i don’t care what your title is my PhD was in veterinary microbiology and i got it at Texas A&M University class of 2012.
the biggest thing i could do was to share my knowledge like when i would develop a paper or develop an idea it was it was all for the intent of putting it out there so that other people can capitalize on that i still get requests for some of my peer-reviewed articles and honestly i would prefer not to send them out because they could be better but you know it’s so it’s valuable for someone the entire point is to spread that knowledge and to export it far and wide so that other people can poke holes in it or make it better and make it their own
when i got my doctorate that was a moment i could share with so many people it was something that my mom could be a part of that my brother and sister could be a part of that my best friend could be a part of but that was the the achievement that i’m proud of most in my life
i am starting two books one of them is called a summer beyond your reach and it’s a collection of short stories translated short stories from a Chinese author and then there’s a book called critique of criminal reason by two authors they write under a pseudonym Michael Gregorio
i like to fill them with hobbies, family, and taking naps i live relatively close to a lake so i like going there and enjoying the lake i’m on linkedin i see all those announcements from when a ceo comes around or a director comes around i think the current state of of the field is good but it needs to improve it has to improve
i think that’s a wrap
